Samsung PS51D8000
Pocket-Lint &bull Dec 14, 2011
Samsung's flagship plasma TV represents a delicious compromise. It's got the second best online dimension, after Sony's Bravia Intent Video platform, which is too often strapped to TVs with lacklustre 3D pictures. And the second best 3D performance, losing out to Panasonic's plasmas, which are the best performers, but are blighted by a content-light online service. We'll leave this 51-inch plasma's 3D dimension alone for a while - it's an optional add-on, with no 3D glasses in the box - and concentrate first on why Smart Hub is becoming irresistible. Highlights on the home screen include links… Full Story »

Sony KDL-55EX723
Pocket-Lint &bull Nov 29, 2011
How does Sony do it? This flagship TV in the brand's EX Series is one of the most impressive we're ever seen. The way the 55EX723 upscales all sources to fit its massive 55-inch panel is clever stuff; it cleans and polishes all kinds of web-based video to remove noise, but somehow look cinematic, too - it's a real treat. Which is why we're just a little annoyed that 3D images on the 55EX723 are nothing short… Full Story »
